Automattic, a company I've long admired, reached out to me. They're known for their web software, primarily centered around the blogging/CMS platform WordPress. Interestingly, they didn't approach me for anything related to WordPress but rather for a piece of microblogging software close to my heart: Tumblr.

Tumblr is a unique platform that empowers individuals to publish their ideas and creations online. It gained fame for the diverse communities it fostered around meme culture, arts, entertainment, and anyone with a creative spark.

I was thrilled when they asked if I'd be interested in putting an artistic spin on the Tumblr logo and application icon. The design would be featured as the app icon for several months.
